The World Economic Forum (WEF) released in 2016 a list of the top 10 skills individuals must develop in order to thrive in the future workplace. According to WEF, creativity will remain to be one of the most relevant skills for the future as machines cannot yet create anything beyond what their algorithms dictate.
Remember that this list was released in 2016, as 2020 nears, it is important to re-evaluate how companies have equipped their current employees with the identified skills, as well as how educational institutions are preparing students for the future workplace. Are these skills being developed early in our children’s lives?
