The first voice-spoofing attack in Europe which involved the fraudulent transfer of $243,000 to a Hungarian firm was finally publicized in August 2019 by the Wall Street Journal. Authorities believe that the attack has been conducted using a commercially available voice generating software. As of writing, no solutions have been offered to detect audio deepfakes.
