In this article for MIT, Beth Stackpole offers five suggestions on how organizations ensure that AI improve the skills of its employees, not replace them.
The first, and perhaps the most important of all the suggestion is: determine what you want to accomplish with AI. This is important because it will determine what sort of AI systems an organization will adopt, as well as identify how the human-machine interaction is going to play out. If the goal is to truly use AI to support the work of human employees, then it will help organizations choose the system that will allow this goal to happen.
